It's all shit, of course, but you just dislike it more than you otherwise might because he ain't your guy.

I'm not justifying it or rationalizing it. He's dangerous - about as dangerous as any of the others that came before him. It's far more about the trend than the individual.

BTW, inured is a great word. I like to use that one too.
Trump is a bumbling fuckstick of cartoonish proportions. The left has it's own brand of isolationalistic socialists who want to put everyone on the dole. Fortunately they tend to be poor, and have little influence, or traction.

If Hillary wanted to enact an annual wealth purge - stealing the wealth from a randomly selected one percenter [i.e wealthy Republicans] and giving it to 1,000 poor people - I would cheer. It would be fucking awesome, especially if it involved lots of violence and could be broadcast live on national television. It might even give my wealth envy a brief respite, and slake my thirst for revenge.

The French had their guillotine (and zero equality for women). Why should they get to have all the fun?

No, seriously, I would consider her a cray cray bitch hopelessly lost down a rabbit hole of her own delusions. Though... I still might be tempted to watch at least one season.

In all reality, I am a left-leaning moderate. We need sensible people from both sides of the aisle to come together to create lasting policies that will benefit society and ensure the growth and prosperity of the nation for generations to come. In 100 years we'll be looked down upon like the people of the early 19th century: generally crude, vulgar, and selfish.

I believe the recent phenomenon of empowering the fringe elements is an unfortunate side effect of our technological advances, though I'm sure there are other contributing factors. But like anything else, it too will reach stasis. We just have to curb our baser instincts for a little while, and let our slothful society catch up. The Women's March, and 2018 midterms are progress towards achieving a balance. Let's hope the trend continues.

... and thanks. Inured is a great word. I rarely get an opportunity to use it. My Facebook posts tend to be... a bit more caustic. Haha

The Rich Elect; The Poor Vote.

“Whenever someone starts quoting the bible, I know they’re full of shit. People only bring out that goddammed thing when they want to justify immoral behavior. It’s the ultimate irony,” the bartender said with a laugh.

Monday has never been my favorite day of the week, but getting murdered before I could finish my first cup of coffee was a new low, even for Monday.
