TW proclaimed:
You responded to him by dropping an fbomb in anger which makes you just as bad as you are saying he is.
Wait, that's what you're going on about? Oh dear lord, this argument is even dumber than it already was.

Tony's consoling Chris over your mean words. How dare you be mean to Chris.
It’s not just a chris. It can apply to anyone. 😉
Haha... fair enough.

I'm fucking working today while you bastards have all the fun.
I never envy your job. Ever
You shouldn't. My job sucks. I wrote Oxidizers: The Art of Re-Imagining Control Schemes in response to a recent trip to Missouri. In 2008 my former employer literally stole a process I created called Bottle-up Shutdown. They tried selling it under that name to a company in Ohio that one of my friends worked at. My friend alerted me, and this former employer changed the name to Hot System Shutdown, yet still sold it to them.

Sure, I was pissed, but what could I do? I offered the process to a customer at a kaizen, and they spoke with my former employer about it. This is shady, but everyone does it. The following year this same client asked me about a gas injection process my former employer offered to sell them... yadda yadda yadda.

The customer I met in Missouri was excited to tell me all about the Bottle-up Shutdown process they purchased from my former employer. They were proud of the savings, and to be completely honest I was happy for them. I'm glad it reduced their carbon footprint and overall utility consumption. It would have been fucking nice to have gotten paid, but shit happens. My former employer sold B.U.S. to dozens and dozens of companies at well over $10k/pop. I don't feel bad taking the Verdeo contract away from them (and the $130-160k/year in revenue I make from that site).

The article is not only about B.U.S., but I also improved upon their control scheme at Verdeo. The mods allow these systems to operate in ranges they'd never been able to handle before. The beauty is that the Verdeo design was sold to a Chinese facility, except instead of having three RTOs pulling 165KSCFM from a 180K bleeder shaft the Chinese facility has twelve RTOs handling 4X the volume...

I'm not telling my former employer what I did, and I password protected the PLCs, so they can't steal the program, which they would certainly do. I'm sure they can VPN into the site, but that won't help them if they can't get online with the PLCs.

Fuck 'em.

This industry is fun, but everyone in it is a cutthroat motherfucker. Nobody should envy my job.

The Rich Elect; The Poor Vote.

“Whenever someone starts quoting the bible, I know they’re full of shit. People only bring out that goddammed thing when they want to justify immoral behavior. It’s the ultimate irony,” the bartender said with a laugh.

Monday has never been my favorite day of the week, but getting murdered before I could finish my first cup of coffee was a new low, even for Monday.
