WNUF Halloween Special is pretty good.

I watched this last night while stuck in Atlanta on a long layover. Imagine finding a local television station's 1980s Halloween special - a special gone horribly awry - that had been recorded on a VCR? This is a low budget cult film that mimics the experience of watching a VHS tape. It will appeal to those who grew up in the 80s, and/or owned a VCR. It's an interesting twist on the lost found footage genre. There are even parts of the movie where the tape is fast-forwarded through commercials. The visuals are spot on, and something that anyone who owned a VCR can relate to.

This may not sound all that appealing, but the movie has its own unique charms.

And for those who look back fondly on the home recording revolution, I recommend the documentary Rewind This!. If it weren't for VHS, I never would have developed a penchant for low-budget flicks by Troma, and Full Moon.
