No, that's just your confirmation bias. The person who wrote the newsletter didn't parrot Ron Paul's voice. That tells me you're listening to an echo chamber that's spinning facts, while failing to look at the facts for yourself.

I read that same piece. This is the relevant part:

Even though many of the newsletters are written in a first person, conversational style, many observers don't believe that Ron Paul actually wrote them.
I've never read Ron's racist rag, but that sentence implies the first-person racism wasn't attributed to another writer, which would give the reader the idea Ron was the speaker. If I'm wrong, that's fine, though the piece should have been clearer about the bylines.

In either case, it doesn't change the fact he thought there was nothing wrong with making money from peddling that shit.
